CHANGE SOMEONE’S LIFE!
It’s important to me that as a family, we give back! Beyond giving locally and spreading sunshine to people in the United States, we feel it’s important to reach out to global communities in desperate need. We have shared two incredible efforts we support, in hopes that you too might be encouraged to also step up to the plate and take action! We encourage you to find something bigger than yourself to give to, either locally or globally. Join the efforts of The Last Well, Watoto, The Hardy Project or something else that is making an impact on the lives of people around the globe! You have the power to dramatically change a life! Go do it!
I have known Todd and Julie Phillips for almost 20 years! This couple and their team are truly incredible individuals! Their vision and dedicated efforts are making a HUGE impact on the country of Liberia! You and I have the luxury of hopping into the shower every night. We have clean, drinkable water at our fingertips. We NEVER worry about diseases, parasites, worms or other contamination in our water… do we!? Heck no, we don’t!! The Last Well is an organization with a simple yet life-changing mission: Provide access to clean water to the entire nation of Liberia and offer the gospel of Christ to every person they serve by the year 2020! At The Last Well, they are working vigorously to meet a practical need to a desperate people group. In addition to meeting the practical need, they are changing lives every day by sharing spiritual hope and encouragement in Jesus.
Seriously, you have the ability to help bring fresh water to an entire village!

When I learned of Watoto (in the Swahili language this means “children”) and the profound impact they are making in the lives of women and children in Kampala and Gulu, Uganda, I was moved with compassion! Growing up, I was always encouraged, cheered for and praised by my parents. They made every effort to see that I was positioned for success. As I learned about all the outreach efforts that are extended from Watoto’s founders, specifically the opportunities for empowerment for women and children, I was overwhelmed with emotion. I may not be able to physically go to Uganda to encourage, love, or praise a mom or younger girl, but I can help a sister out! Living Hope established an initiative called Keep a Girl in School, which I feel so strongly about. They aim to reduce primary school dropout rates and increase primary school exam completion among adolescent girls. Strong girls equal, successful women!
Partnering with Living Hope enables them to:
– Embrace: Reaching out to the most vulnerable women by taking caring of their basic essential needs
– Empower: Developing and growing their life skills so they can build sustainable and dignified lives
– Engage: Helping ladies to become successful businesswomen and pillars of influence in their communities.
